This property holds the date of death for a person.

How to enter dates

You may enter dates in several formats. Examples:

**Full date:** 2025-11-25
**Year and month:** 2025-11
**Year only:** 2025
**Approximate date:** ca. 1850
**Date range:** 1850–1855
**Before a date:** before 1900
**After a date:** after 1800

For best compatibility with data export (TEI, MARC21), prefer ISO format (**YYYY-MM-DD**) when a full date is known.
